Overview

Powhatan Animal Hospital is a small animal practice located between the city of Richmond and the country. We offer laser therapy and orthopedic surgery. We support our local high school and sheriff’s department, and we will go out of our way to help our clients by offering extra help getting in and out of the vehicle if needed.

We truly work as a team and most teammates are cross-trained to help out however they can. If you have been looking to join a team that loves to help their community and each other, we would love to welcome you to our team!

Responsibilities / Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Virginia
• Professional demeanor and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude
• The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members
• Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
• Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
• Proficiency in surgery a plus
