Communication:  Your communication MUST be better than excellent – with both in house relationships and with our patient’s anxious parents – you have to be able to talk to people on a real personal level – from taking them through the basics to the not so basic – with compassion, intelligence and heart.

Humour:  You MUST be able to laugh – at yourself, with the team, and at the Practice Manager’s awful jokes!!!

Independent:  You MUST be able to work independently of the Practice Owners – can you make decisions on your feet for the greater good?

Customer Service:  We MUST see that your Customer Service is second to none – just like ours!  We put ourselves in our customers shoe’s and sometimes that is not a walk anyone wants to take, but at all times you MUST be able to be professional and remember that the client is always right!

Workload:  You MUST be able to accept that at times our workload is heavy, and that working 9-5 is not always realistic when it comes to animals and their health.  You MUST also be able to recognise that the load will be shared as best is possible so that you can have a life outside of work too!

Longevity:  You MUST have your eye on staying with the practice for a long time – if we are going to offer opportunities, you must prove yourself first and the world will open up for you – we have our eye on the future growth of this practice and wish to work with like minded people.

Qualifications:  You MUST have all the New Zealand recognised qualifications to apply for this role and they must be so that you can practice as a VET!!  We can help to organise New Zealand registration if needed.

While this position would suit an experienced vet, we would be happy to accommodate and consider a recent graduate.
