The Role

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The position can involve discharging inpatients and surgical patients. It will involve tending to inpatients and administering medication. Ensuring the clinic is ready for the following days procedures. Occasional nursing consultations, reception duties where required and some administrative duties. Assisting the OOH vet with any procedures. The hours for this is position are negotiable, between the hours of 4pm and11pm. The twilight nurse duties include handover from the day Registered Veterinary Nurses to assist in ongoing surgical procedures and nursing of inpatients.

About Us

We are a well-established small animal practice consisting of a friendly and supportive team of 15 nurses, 11 vets, 6 receptionist and our practice manager. We have many modern facilities including in house laboratory, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring and laser therapy. We are RCVS Accredited practice, ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic and have been voted “Best Scottish Vet” in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Caring, dedicated team with a wealth of experience.

Applicant Requirements

Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse required, able to work sole charge for a few hours each evening. Experience dealing with emergencies and OOH care are an advantage. This role is dealing mainly with assisting emergency procedures and dealing with inpatients, however, the candidate should be confident dealing in all areas of nursing.
