The Role

We are looking for a Twilight Registered Veterinary Nurse who has experience in providing advanced wards-based nursing care to medical and surgical patients. This is a full-time role working 36 hours a week although part time applicants are also warmly welcomed. This role will suit a confident nurse with the ability to utilise initiative whilst working alongside a dedicated team of Interns, Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Care Assistants.

Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a multidisciplinary referral centre currently undergoing extensive expansion and improvement of the facilities. The practice is located in the South of England close to the New Forest National Park and South Coast, offering easy access to a multitude of outdoor activities. Bournemouth beach has just been voted number one beach in the UK by TripAdvisor and is a 20-minute drive from the practice. The area offers good access to regional and international airports and has excellent road and rail links to London.

We have a team of recognised specialists in the fields of anaesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, spinal surgery, soft tissue surgery and animal physiotherapy. At Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists, we have the most advanced facilities, which you will not find in ordinary veterinary practices. This enables our specialists to offer the highest standard of veterinary care from admission through to discharge.

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with high attention to detail and an empathetic approach to patient care. You must be a registered Veterinary nurse with a minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience.
