The Role

We are seeking a Student Veterinary Nurse to support our practices in Notting Hill and West Kensington.

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic nurse who thrives in a team environment but also possess the confidence to work alone from time to time.

The successful candidate will be assisting vets and nurses with all aspects of their work, including caring for animals, administering, simple medical treatments under instruction and supervision, setting up for surgery, x-rays and medical procedures, walking, cleaning and monitoring animals, caring for the clinical environment, client communication, taking payments and computer use.

Skills and Experience

• Are a Student Veterinary Nurse who is currently enrolled in college
• Computer literate
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy with patients and clients
• Demonstrate initiative in patient welfare and understand boundaries in patient care
• Full driver’s licence
• Ability to work in a team and work under pressure
• Adaptable, friendly, outgoing nature with exceptional customer service

The Branch

Medivet Notting Hill and West Kensington are two busy branches in West London.

With a Branch Partner and two other vets, the branch has ultrasound, ECG, Digital x-rays, in-house blood analysis and dental x-ray. They run 15 minute consultations which enables them time to be really thorough.

You will be working with three other nurses.

Notting Hill is situated about 10 mins walk from Notting Hill Gate and 5 minutes from Ladbroke Grove, it can also be easily accessed by the A40. West Kensington is a 5 minute walk from Baron’s Court Underground and just off the A4. Both branches have several nearby bus routes.
