The Role

We are looking for a Student or Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team at Medivet Faygate.

The clinic has a good surgical and medical caseload, which will enable you to develop your nursing skills fully. You will be supported by a large team of nursing staff including RVNs, SVNs and Patient Care Assistants.

Previous experience working in a small animal practice is required. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas.

This is a full time permanent position, covering 40-43 hours per week (depending on your qualification status). You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 full weekends.

Competitive salary of up to £19,473 per annum for students OR £23,349 per annum for qualified nurses – dependent on qualification status and experience

Skills and Experience

You must be a Veterinary Nurse who is registered with the RCVS or an experienced Student Veterinary Nurse who is already enrolled in college.

The Branch

Medivet 24 Hour Faygate sees an interesting, busy and varied caseload. The hospital offers a range of services from routine general practice work to hydrotherapy, specialist treatment of exotic patients, an orthopaedic service, laparoscopy and advanced imaging.

The team is made up of vets with different areas of interest, many of whom are certificate holders, or are studying towards one, these include: medicine, cardiology, exotics and imaging. The spacious hospital is well equipped with separate dog, cat and exotic wards, hydrotherapy pool, cold laser, laparoscopic surgical equipment, ultrasound, CT and endoscopy.
