The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced RVN to join our team as one of two Senior Nurses. Working closely with the Head Nurse, you will be contributing to our nursing team's reputation for providing gold standard patient care alongside helping to develop and support the team. This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, covering all shifts on a rota basis. A generous package is offered, dependent on experience. With lots of scope for personal development, CPD is encouraged and funded.

About Us

Oakham Veterinary Hospital is a long-established practice on the outskirts of Oakham, Rutland. Our purpose-built premises are set in 8.5 acres surrounded by beautiful, rural countryside but with easy access to the nearby cities of Nottingham, Leicester and Peterborough. We have extensive hospital facilities and diagnostic equipment in both our equine and small animal departments, including MRI and CT. We also have a clinical association with the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, giving us access to expertise from leading veterinary specialists.

Applicant Requirements

You will be a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience working in a busy hospital environment. A strong interest and evidence of CPD relating to management/leadership is essential, and a qualification would be advantageous. Strong people and team working skills are a must, as is the ability to stay enthusiastic and self-motivated to keep pace with our wide and varied case load.
