Senior Financial Analyst (Specialty and Equine Divisions)

Under the direction of the Director of Financial and Business Intelligence (Specialty), the Senior Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for ensuring that financial data is aggregated, analyzed and reported with meaningful insight.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth financial analysis, reporting, and metrics tracking for purposes of providing insights
  • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis; identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and dashboards
  • Increases productivity by developing automated reporting/budgeting tools

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 – 5+ years of relevant (Finance / FP&A) experience
  • Expertise in MS Excel (Index-Match, Sum-If, Indirect, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), proven experience manipulating large sets of data efficiently
  • Expert at Analysis: Shows strong history of analyzing data to propose changes which drives positive financial results
  • Excellent critical thinking and presentation skills; proven ability to dissect problems and develop/communicate solutions clearly, concisely and completely
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service abilities with strong experience interacting with and presenting to senior executives; exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills required
  • Strong Background in Finance: History of utilizing financial measures/metrics showing ability to optimize the business; expertise in manipulating data through software and applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SQL, Macros, VBA
  • Familiarity with Microstrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Oracle
  • Personality and Interpersonal Skills:
