Merced Animal Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled Relief Veterinarian to join our team in the heart of California. This position would have exposure to General Practice, Urgent Care, and ER situations. Yosemite National Park is close by while California’s newest UC campus is a 5-minute drive from our hospital.

We offer electronic medical records, digital X-ray (dental and whole body), ultrasound and a full in house laboratory. Our hospital offers Paw Plans, a comprehensive option for monthly payments for annual pet health care. Our hospital offers extended hours for appointments, urgent care procedures and treatment. We are seeking a DVM with strong client communication skills, special interests with urgent care and surgical experience are encouraged to apply. Both experienced doctors and/or new graduates are welcome to apply. Mentorship is available.

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

We are a 3-doctor progressive practice with 18 experienced support staff

  • Brand new Fovea digital x-ray
  • View All dental x-ray
  • Aloka Ultrasound
  • Complete in-house laboratory including Idexx Catalyst, Procyte, i-STAT and Coag
  • Dedicated surgery suite
  • We collaborate with Erin Paster, DVM Diplomate ACVS who is a Board Certified Orthopedic and Soft Tissue Surgeon.
  • Our hospital assists and partners with our county’s local Animal Shelter Wellness Program and Surgical Plans for adoption.
