The Role

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse or a Y2/Y3 Student Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic team at Medivet Weymouth.

We encourage growth and development within your role and are truly committed to help our Medivet family members achieve their goals. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas.

Salary and hours

• Basic salary of 22,572 per annum, dependent on qualification status and experience
• £300 CPD allowance and in-house CPD available
• RCVS and VDS fees paid
• 4-5 weeks paid annual leave, dependent on your qualification status
• Hours per week are 40-43, dependent on your qualification status. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 full weekends with time back in lieu.

Skills and Experience

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll be an RCVS Registered Nurse or Y2/Y3 SVN already enrolled at college, with small animal practice experience.

You put high standards of patient care first and can demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and demonstrated initiative when needed. You also understand not only your role but also the capabilities of PCA’s and student nurses, and are eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

The Branch

Medivet Weymouth is a busy friendly practice located near to the centre of Weymouth with the surrounding beaches and countryside within easy reach.

It is a two vet practice, led by Branch Partner Emma. Here, you will be supported by a fantastic nursing team made up of our HRVN, PCA and CCA. The clinic has a good surgical and medical caseload which will enable you to develop your nursing skills fully.
