The Role
With our growing team we are now recruiting at Medivet Warrington for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team. This role would suit an experienced RVN or newly qualified nurse, ready to build on their previous experiences gained whilst studying and enable us to re-launch the cat clinic and grow our laparoscopic surgery service. An interest or passion in feline care would be useful. The clinic has a good surgical and medical caseload, which will enable you to develop your nursing skills fully. You will be assisting in the care of animals and their owners. Undertaking tasks set by senior members of staff in the basic care and running of the practice. Communicating well with clients, meeting and greeting clients and their pets and completing registrations. Monitoring in-patients, providing care and appropriate diets. Assisting vets during examinations and surgeries ensuring the correct procedures are followed for the cleaning and sterilising of instruments, equipment and materials. The ideal candidate will offer the highest standards of clinical and client care, empathy and be willing to provide valuable peer support to our student veterinary nurses and patient care assistants. An experienced SVN would be considered for this role. The Branch
Warrington practice is well equipped with ultrasound, radiography, in house laboratory, laparoscopy and a separate cat clinic. The practice also has access to our Alder hospital allowing easy access for CT scans and out of hours care. Our team at Warrington consists of our Lead Vet, HRVN, RVN, SVN and a full time receptionist. You will be working alongside 2/3 vets each day.
