The Role

Joining our professional, personable team in our Oakengates practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll be an RCVS Registered Nurse with small animal practice experience, you put high standards of patient care first and can demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and demonstrated initiative when needed. You also understand not only your role but also the capabilities of PCA’s and student nurses, and are eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding service and care for our clients and patients; you will be fully supported within this new role, working with a fantastic team.

You will be assisting in the care of animals and their owners. Undertaking tasks set by senior members of staff in the basic care and running of the practice. Communicating well with clients, meeting and greeting clients and their pets and completing registrations. Monitoring in-patients, providing care and appropriate diets. Assisting vets during examinations and surgeries ensuring the correct procedures are followed for the cleaning and sterilising of instruments, equipment and materials. Carrying out K-Laser appointments with training given.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On call and bank holidays on a minimal rotational basis.

The Branch

Medivet Oakengates is run by a great team which includes our Lead Vet Duncan, Head RVN, 3 PCA’s and our Client Care Assistant.

As well as our facilities at our Oakengates practices we also provide 24 hour care at our 24 hour Shrewsbury practice nearby.
