The Role

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our successful partnership, Zasman Vet.

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

Salary and hours

This role offers a salary of £25,000 per annum plus £300 CPD allowance plus 2-days CPD leave, RCVS and BVNA membership. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.

Hours are 40 hour week working a mix of early and late shifts, with 1:4 weekends.

You will also be included on our bank holiday and on-call rota, this is fair share across all nurses in the region to provide additional support to our night team, if required.

Key Accountabilities

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

The Branch

Our Zasman Vet region has six branches across North London and this role is based in our Crouch End practice.

Crouch End is a well-equipped practice including both digital x-ray and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy.

All out-of-hour care is managed by a local Medivet hospital, where there is also access to CT and MRI.

Crouch End is a truly lovely part of North London with a quaint village feel – lots of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants and Alexandra Park and Priory Park near to the surgery.

The closest stations are in Finsbury Park; the Victoria Line by tube as well as the Great Northern Rail for overground services. There is also a good bus service and side street parking if you’re coming by car.
