The Role

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse, or Y3 SVN soon to qualify, to join our fantastic team in our Camberwell hospital.

Salary and hours

Hours are 40 per week and may include 1 in 4 weekends (with time back in lieu) – to be discussed at interview.

This role offers a salary of £22,288 – £23,349per annum (depending on qualification) plus £2000 London weighting.

We also offer £300 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave, RCVS and BVNA membership, 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.

Key Accountabilities

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

Our 24 hour centre in Camberwell is just one of 20 across the country that supports our practice network in the region. Here you’ll find everything you need to deliver exceptional care, from a professional and passionate team to extraordinary facilities, such as high spec ultrasound and a software system that enables truly continuous exceptional care, that’s always there.

Our purpose-built hospital is only a few years old, providing a fantastic modern space to work in. Camberwell is a bright and spacious, excellently equipped clinic with CT scanner, ultrasound, lap spay kit, digital x-ray and more. The hospital has a mixed caseload, currently seeing first opinion cases and referrals from surrounding clinics.

This clinic has a friendly and growing team of vets, nurses and support staff who will welcome our successful candidate with alacrity!

Camberwell is a vibrant part of London with easy access to all that our capital has to offer. The practice is located between Loughborough Junction and Denmark Hill stations, with plenty of bus links as well.
