Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Description

The Role

If you are passionate about providing outstanding patient and client care, value working as part of a friendly and supportive team and are eager to learn and grow then we may just have the job for you! Our Veterinary Nurses have a full and varied day which would include running Nurse Clinics, providing inpatient care, lab work, radiography, simple dentals and theatre cover.

About Us

The practice is a busy one with a varied case load and we treat lots of interesting exotics. Our clinical team consists of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, one is an experienced exotics Veterinary Surgeon and the other a certificate holder in veterinary medicine. We have 2 very experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse and an Animal Nursing Assistant. We are also supported by a Receptionist and Practice Manager. We work as a great team, value input from everyone and encourage ongoing development. The practice is very well equipped with digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound and an Idexx lab. We are in a great location on the riverside by the Thames Barrier with a park opposite the practice and there are good transport links to surrounding areas.

Applicant requirements

An experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse would be ideal but we are happy to consider a newly qualified Veterinary Nurse or someone returning from a career break. What is more important to us is that you share our values and work ethic. Ideally, you will have an interest in exotics and some experience nursing exotics cases. We would be happy to support further learning in this field.
