Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Description

The Role

Are you looking for a new career challenge?

Working alongside the static Veterinary Surgeon you will have the opportunity to build on the existing client base by using your business creativity and offering a consistent high level of service. This is a great chance to help manage a practice with support from an approachable management team and support from a friendly wider team of clinical and support staff. You will work closely with the vet to organise the week, be part of initiatives to generate new and increase business, and really make the practice your own. The role will encompass reception duties as well as the opportunity to use your nursing skills. This is a full time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no OOH or weekend working.

About Us

Abington Park Veterinary Group are an expanding 1st opinion and referral service with three sites in Northamptonshire. This role is based within our Acorn practice, and is an unusual and exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with interest in exotic animal care, to join our single vet practice where we are seeing a high caseload of exotic patients (snakes, lizards, spiders, rabbits, birds and many more). We are situated in picturesque Northamptonshire, offering a wide range of sporting, recreational and cultural activities for all, with great links to London and Birmingham. We require a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for gold standard animal care and providing an exceptional service to our loyal client base to work in our Acorn branch which has recently been fully refurbished.

Applicant Requirements

Our Acorn practice and Veterinary Surgeon have an interest in exotics, therefore, you will be required to work with small animals including exotics such as snakes, lizards and spiders. An interest in this area would be advantageous. If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience, plus a proactive, ‘can-do’ approach, we would love to hear from you.

As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
