The Role

We are currently looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at Ivybank Vets in Irvine, Ayrshire. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 5 days with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings and no out of hours.

As part of a busy team you would be expected to support your colleagues as well as being able to independently run Nurse Clinics in our smaller branches. We operate daily in our 3 branches so this position would be suitable for someone who enjoys a varied surgical and medical caseload.

About Us

We are a 3-site practice along the west coast of Ayrshire. We are a forward-thinking practice with a motivated team who aim to provide the best of care to our clients and their pet. We offer a wide range of services in house including dedicated operating theatres, full laboratory facilities, digital radiographs (inc dental rads), ultrasound and a basic orthopaedic kit. Our well-equipped practice prides itself on local reputation and aims to offer a very high standard of medical and surgical first opinion care. We are also a RCVS training practice and learning and development is important to us so personal interests and CPD Is encouraged.
We are a 7 Veterinary Surgeon practice who work closely with a nursing team of 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 1 Nurse who is due to graduate. Our nursing team is supported by our 2 Animal Care Assistants and a large team of Receptionists.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a registered veterinary nurse with experience to continue the support network we have available to carry out a combination of medical and surgical tasks and takes full ownership of their cases. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and hardworking candidate who will become a valued member of our dedicated team. We are looking for someone who is keen to get stuck into all aspects of first opinion practice and nursing.
