The Role

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at our Rissington branch. You will be the sole nurse to assist the vet with operations on a daily basis and you will also be working on reception during consulting times. On some days you will be asked to open the branch and close the branch which includes cashing up. We are a large, friendly and supportive team who encourages CPD and specialist certificates. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday with no weekends or OOH.

About Us

We are looking for a nurse that will be mainly based at our Rissington branch located near Bourton-On-The-Water. Dragon Vets Rissington is a fairly recent new addition to Dragon Vets since 2018. It is fully equipped with a digital x-ray machine, laboratory and theatre. Dragon Vets at the Racecourse are a RCVS tier 2 small animal surgery and recognised training practice with access to modern anaesthetic monitoring equipment including capnography, non-invasive blood pressure monitoring, ECG, pulse-oximetry. We perform many procedures in-house including laparoscopic spays and biopsies alongside many other soft-tissue and orthopaedic procedures. We provide a full laboratory services including blood gas monitoring and microscopy, digital XRAY (DR), modern ultrasonography and CT scanning.

Applicant Requirements

We are ideally looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who has post-qualification experience. In addition to your excellent clinical and communication skills, you will need to be a people oriented person who is willing to help and support your colleagues.
