The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and caring Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy practice. Our nurses are involved in all routine Vet appointments due to the current Covid restrictions. Nurses have their own nurse appointments and also complete pre-operative and post-operative consultations. We have 1-2 nurses assisting in interventional procedures and another monitoring pre-operative and post-operative patients. There is the usual instrument cleaning, autoclaving, kennel cleaning and general cleaning to be done by all of the nursing team. There are opportunities to be involved in nursing complex cases and referral cases. Special interests are encouraged, we offer CPD and provide excellent funding.

• Monday – Friday (30-40 hours)
• Saturdays on a rota

About Us

We are a progressive busy 4-5 vet 1st opinion practice offering a comprehensive and high qualitive service. We offer a full range of medical workups, comprehensive soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, dentistry etc. with an excellent range of diagnostic equipment. Our nurses are involved in sedations, anaesthetics, x-rays, dentals and surgeries as well as general patient care. We have dedicated nurse consultations with our nurses doing post-operative checks, 2nd vaccinations, regular injections including immunotherapies and cytopoint injections and blood sampling. We are a nurse training practice with 7 qualified and highly experienced nurses.

Our team comprises of 4-5 Vets and 7 Nurses all of whom are very friendly, motivated, highly experienced and well balanced. The nursing team are all multitalented, with our nurses all assisting and being involved in all areas of 1st opinion veterinary work.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a RCVS registered, qualified nurse, experience is desirable but new graduates are welcome to apply. You will be a self-motivated individual with a passion for high standards of care. As we are part of IVC, we would also be keen for a new graduate nurse to join the IVC Nurse Academy which provides an excellent structured CPD programme.
