Need to have more flexibility but still want to use your nursing knowledge and skills?
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to head up our Puppy Pre-school training sessions and keep on top of our growing number of insurance claims. Pre-school is a two-week socialisation course (1 day per week) which offers a great opportunity to begin a puppy’s socialisation experience in a controlled environment. We work very closely with a local behaviour/ training company for support and offer our own pre-school classes for puppies before full vaccines are administered. This is a socialising session in a controlled environment.
The other side of this role is processing the insurance claims forms, speaking to insurance companies, and clients. You will also be responsible for training other members of the nursing team how to process claims. We have a small team in place and ready to support you when necessary.
We are a fully equipped and modernised RCVS accredited practice striving to achieve the highest standard of veterinary care in South Buckinghamshire. We have surgeries in Chesham, Chalfont St Giles, Amersham and Beaconsfield. We have a committed clinical team with many vets and nurses holding or engaged in postgraduate qualifications as the practice combines first opinion with an internal referral service. Responsibility and specialism are strongly encouraged in order to develop further opportunities and skills to the practice. We have a strong focus on job satisfaction with a number of employee perks.
The successful candidate will need to be a registered veterinary nurse who is looking for a more flexible role but with the clinical knowledge to competently complete the insurance forms. You will need to be self-motivated, organised and have excellent communication skills. An interest in animal behaviour would be essential due to the nature of the puppy pre-school. Behavioural qualification is desired but not essential.
