The Role

We are looking for a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a part time basis. Hours can be flexible and ideally include a Friday with 1:4 Saturdays. Your main responsibilities will be to assist with surgical procedures, admit and discharge patients for routine operations, nurse clinics and ensuring the highest standard of nursing care is delivered to all patients at all times. You will be competent and adhere to practice protocols in the following tasks; monitoring anaesthetics, venepuncture, urine collection, skin scrapes, taking/processing radiographs, performing routine laboratory procedures, maintenance of tubes and drains, gowning & gloving to assist aseptically in theatre, under veterinary direction anesthetise and intubate, scale and polish teeth, administer enemas, calculate and administer medications.

We are RCVS accredited with modern facilities and have an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses, who all enjoy working together and eating cake!

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate would be a qualified RVN with recent veterinary practice experience but we would also be open to interest from newly qualified nurses. You would be enthusiastic, hardworking and work well in a team. We would like some flexibility with shifts and holiday cover and ideally you would bring some fun and new exciting ideas to the practice.
