Registered Veterinary Nurse

Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a newly qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This is a full time position, working 5 days a week with 1:4 Saturdays. Your main responsibilities will be to assist with surgical procedures, admit and discharge patients for routine operations, nurse clinics and ensuring the highest standard of nursing care is delivered to all patients at all times. You will be competent and adhere to practice protocols in the following tasks; monitoring anaesthetics, venepuncture, urine collection, skin scrapes, taking/processing radiographs, performing routine laboratory procedures, maintenance of tubes and drains, gowning & gloving to assist aseptically in theatre, under veterinary direction anesthetise and intubate, scale and polish teeth, administer enemas, calculate and administer medications.

We are RCVS accredited with modern facilities and have an experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses, who all enjoy working together and eating cake!

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate would be a newly qualified RVN with recent veterinary practice experience. They would be enthusiastic, hardworking and work well in a team. We would like them to be flexible with shifts and holiday cover. We would like them to bring some fun and new exciting ideas to the practice.
