The Role

We are looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our experienced team. You will be working with a fantastic team in all aspects of veterinary nursing including theatre, nurse clinics, and promoting our Pet health club. You will be required to join a rotating clinical duties roster, dividing your time between operating theatres, patient care, and consulting rooms. You will be required to work 1 night a week for in-house patient care and 1 weekend in 5 for in-house patient care. If there are no in-patients then you will not be required. There are no out-of-hours requirements. You will work up to 2 evening surgeries a week (7.30pm finish) and 2 Saturdays (until 2pm) every 5 weeks (approx.). You will work an average of 40 hours per week. You will receive TOIL from your Saturday mornings and additional payment for your in-house duties.

Midforest Veterinary Practice has been established for over 20 years, we have 2 branches in Totton and Lyndhurst. Our friendly, supportive, experienced team pride themselves on providing the best care for pets and clients alike. Maintaining a good working environment for all staff is of high importance to us, which is proven in our low staff turnover. The vacancy is at our Totton Practice, although you may be required to work at our Lyndhurst Practice from time to time. We have a support team of 5 vets and 5 nurses and 3 receptionists at our Totton Practice and have several certificate holders across the Practice.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for confident, enthusiastic RVN, with a naturally caring disposition. You will be forward thinking, a good team player and be able to work on your own initiative. You will be passionate about providing gold standard patient and client care, promoting nurse’s clinics and preventative healthcare. Applicants should be a registered member of the RCVS (RVN). New graduates will be considered. Training will be provided for any procedures you are not familiar with.
