Job Summary:

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a Program Manager, New Resorts to support a national level program to build and open new locations for our community of Pet Resorts, which provide pet boarding, daycare, training, and grooming services. You will be responsible for managing project milestones and schedules, cross-functional team alignment, process improvements, and program reporting. Your excellent organization skills, clear and frequent communication, ability to positively influence others, and knack for process improvement will help us achieve our ambitious growth goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use your excellent time management skills to enable a large cross-functional team composed of real estate, design, legal, construction, sourcing, field operations, marketing, and finance to deliver 25+ new locations per year. You will be responsible for tracking milestones and coordinating seamless handoffs between teams to ensure each new site is delivered on time and on budget.
  • Maintain master project task lists that tracks project milestones for the cross-functional teams provide clear visibility to timelines, deliverables, and project status.

  • Take initiative to proactively identify program and/or project issues or risks to the Director and cross-functional team leads. You’ll be comfortable following up on action items, providing feedback, and escalating issues as they arise.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, partner with Director and cross-functional team leads to create and implement a solution, monitor adoption of the process, and refine as needed.
  • Develop and administer workflow and reporting tools by documenting requirements, updating the project tracking system, testing improvements, and training teams on the updated features.
  • Create, update, and publish standard program dashboards and ad-hoc reports to be distributed to working teams and executive leadership.
  • Review and extract information from legal documents including but not limited to leases, estoppel certificates, and lease amendments as it related to project milestones.

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience as a project coordinator, project manager, or program manager for new store development or other large scale, national level programs. Experience leading or working in a Program Management Office is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in a highly matrixed environment with ability to work across multiple business units
  • Exceptional communication skills with sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Comfortable with providing and receiving feedback.
  • Desire to clarify ambiguity and organize items into scalable standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design, develop, test, and implement solutions.
  • A love for details, schedules, and budgets.
  • Experience with QuickBase or other cloud-based project management tools.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
