The Animal Hospital of Signal Mountain is looking for a full time Groomer.

Responsibilities:
• Provides grooming services for pets in adherence with established policies and procedures to ensure safety and security of pets and clients.
• Maintains strong knowledge of grooming best practices, pricing and marketing strategies. Builds strong client relationships.
• Attends meetings as required for training.
• Minimum of 6 months of job-specific experience required with ability to independently build client relations, coordinate and deliver grooming services.

Our desired candidate would have knowledge of veterinary hospital needs and the customer/patient relationship. A dedication to service excellence, a friendly upbeat attitude, and attention to detail. 2 years of experience with Breed Cuts, shave downs and being able to handle difficult pets. Al love of animals and correct pet handling is necessary.

Desired job experience/work ethic:
• 1-2 years experience pet grooming and bathing. (breed cuts, shave downs, nail trims, and the correct way to dry a dog.)
• Cat baths and shaves are a plus.
• AviMark medical database experience is a plus.
• Be able to multi task, and keep a calm environment.
• Canine pet handling – Cat knowledge and handling.
• Preventive care knowledge
• Handel tough conversations (proper hair needs and bathing needs of the pets along with proper vaccines to groom).
• Customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Motivated to learn and continue your education.
• Timely and focused

Commissioned and hourly rate available along with a 6month and 1 year signing bonus.
