We are seeking a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our well established hospital in Watford, Hertfordshire.
We are committed to providing a high quality, good value and honest veterinary service to all pets, both day and night. All our practices share the same software, so you will have access to your patients’ history at all times; case continuity guaranteed!
We are seeking someone with a passion for emergency and critical care and who thrives working at a gold standard in patient and client care. The successful candidate will have experience in emergency surgery such as including splenectomy, C-section and GDV as well as diagnostics.

This is a permanent full time role, covering an average of 49 hours a week. The shift pattern consists of 7 nights on, 7 nights off (Monday – Sunday) 7pm – 9am – weekends are included in this pattern.
This role offers a total package of up to £62,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes competitive base plus £10,200 housing allowance, vehicle or £2500 allowance, £1500 CPD allowance + 2 days CPD leave, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership.

As qualified MRCVS , you’ll already be an experienced Night Vet or have experience within ECC, and you are dedicated to delivering outstanding emergency and critical care to your patients. Skills and Experience
The Watford region is made up of 19 branches, all of which feed into the 24-hr hospital for out of hour care, the hospital can have up to 20 inpatients a night.
The hospital is well equipped and will soon be home to a new CT machine!
In this role you will working alongside an experienced RVN with access to our on-call rota should you require additional support.
Watford has good transport links from Watford Junction Station, including a direct link to London Euston.
