Night Veterinary Nurse

The Role

A Night Veterinary Nurse is required to cover Emergency and Critical care for our own patients as well as those presented from feeder practices within the Plymouth area. Shifts are varied and will be on a rotation of Twilight shifts and/or Night duties working within the Out of Hours team. Duties include in patient care as well as assisting the Night Vet with emergency procedures. Cleaning duties and responsibility for the Practice overnight along with the Night Vet who is also on site continuously.

About Us

With a total of 5 sites including an RCVS standard Small Animal Hospital including Emergency Services Clinic in Plymouth, our aim is to provide high quality care for patients and their owners. The practice is busy, well-equipped and offers a varied case-load of mainly first opinion cases. RVN's as well as Student RVN's will work along side the Night nurse up to Midnight after which the Night nurse and Night Vet are responsible for emergency cases and in patient care.

Applicant Requirements

The successful candidate will be a self motivated individual with Emergency Critical Care experience preferably and who is able to multi task at busy periods throughout the night offering a high level of patient care alongside the Night Vet. An empathetic and sympathetic approach is needed when dealing with clients in high stressed situations as well as good IT skills.
