The Role

We are seeking a Night Patient Care Assistant to join our Poole 24 Hour Emergency Vet Care Clinic. This is a fantastic opportunity suited to individuals eager to work with veterinary professionals, providing support and assistance to our clients and their pets. The successful applicant will enjoy working as part of a team as well as possess the initiative and confidence to work alone when required. This is a rewarding role, ideal for an enthusiastic, motivated and friendly individual with a strong passion for animal care and welfare. Approximately 3 nights per week 6pm – 11pm 1:4 weekends 12:00 – 20:00 on a Saturday and 9am to 21:00pm on a Sunday 18.75 hours

Key Accountabilities

You will work with our dedicated night veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse to provide gold standard care to our clients and our patients. Duties will include but are not limited to: • Welcoming and assisting clients into the practice • Answering telephone calls • Scheduling appointments • Taking payments • Assisting the night vet with in-patient examinations • Assisting the night nurse with ward rounds • Ensuring the hospital is maintained to a high standard

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a veterinary environment. Essential attributes: • Ability to work under pressure • Attention to detail • Excellent communication skills • Computer literate • Ability to work as part of a team • Passion for animal care and welfare • Empathetic and caring approach • Resilient
