The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team! This position is full time on a rolling rota with 2 other RVN's, with set shifts from 8pm-8am. We are looking for a nurse to provide first class care in our hospitalisation facilities. We currently have no out of hours over night so your main focus will be on the hospitalised patients and hospital turnaround of equipment and clinical areas. The rota works on a 3 nights on, 7 off, 4 nights on 7 off structure. You will be required to do 2nd on call cover for sickness; 14 nights in a 6 week rota.

About Us

Barrow Hill is a purpose built hospital situated in the beautiful Garden of England, Ashford, Kent. We have been inspected by the RCVS and awarded its highest classification for a veterinary practice. We have state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, orthopaedic equipment, k-laser unit, a CT scanner, including separate dog and cat wards and also separate isolation ward.

Applicant Requirements

The success candidate will need to be adept at their own time and task management due to sole charge overnight, as well as being a great team player. Candidates must be competent at all aspects of veterinary nursing and need to be excellent communicators. Experience with nursing critical patients is preferred.
