Neurology Veterinary Surgeon (Board Specialist)

Job Description

The Role

We require a board specialist in Neurology to join a busy team of fellow specialists within our multidiscipline hospital. Your working days will consist of varying work within your specialist field. We offer a full-time permanent position, but part-time employment can be discussed. Out of hours availability is included in our service to the client and is a bonus but not a requirement for the position.

About Us

We are one of Sweden's largest small animal hospitals with high competence in areas such as surgery, orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, emergency and critical care and dentistry. Our team of more than 90 veterinarians and more than 80 veterinary nurses pride ourselves on how well we work together as a team and strive to provide our clients with the highest quality of care. We receive first opinion cases as well as emergencies and referrals to our modern and well-equipped premises in Stockholm, just 20 minutes from the city centre, and 45 minutes from Arlanda airport. Sweden is well-known for prioritizing quality of life in its employment laws. All workers in Sweden receive at least five weeks of paid vacation per year. Sweden has generous laws for parental leave for new parents and the financial benefits paid during parental leave are very generous in comparison with most countries. Sweden have publicly subsidized affordable childcare and parents who need to take care of their child due to illness (up to a certain age) can also receive compensation for lost income. As part of the publicly funded social insurance, you pay a moderate set fee when visiting a doctor or physiotherapist within the national health scheme.

Applicant Requirements

We value joy and positive energy and therefore hope that you, like us, will thrive in and contribute to that atmosphere. Of course, you love animals as much as we do and identify yourself with our core values; commitment, joy, respect, competence, and innovation.
