The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Veterinary Surgeon, based at Medivet Faversham (Toachim House Veterinary Surgery).

Our mobile role provides wonderful flexibility and will give you the opportunity to be involved in interesting caseloads with state-of-the-art technology; you will work a mix of sole charge and in multi-vet practices alongside other experienced vets and certificate holders.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident working sole charge. We offer excellent long term prospects for the right candidate, with advancement in skills and specialism actively encouraged.

You will experience a varied caseload at both of our practices which are fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors and much more!

The successful candidate will work 39 hours a week, spread across 4 working days per week, providing great work-life balance. The shift pattern includes 1:3 Saturdays.

Salary & Benefits:

A very competitive package of up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience), which includes accommodation allowance and a vehicle or vehicle allowance

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training (or pro-rata)

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays (or pro-rata)

Skills and Experience

You must be a Veterinary Surgeon who is registered with the RCVS.

As this is a mobile role, you should have a full driver’s license.

The Branch

This role will be based at Medivet Faversham, which is a 4 vet practice with a large nursing team and is our main hub in the region. Faversham is the oldest market town in Kent, bursting with history and places to visit.

The practices that are in the Faversham region are: Bearsted, Cranbrook, Evegate, Faversham, Folkestone, Headcorn, Minster-on-Sea, Staplehurst, Tenderden, Maidstone, Willesborough.
