The Role

We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual with a strong passion for animal care and welfare to join us as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a busy Hospital environment as well as our well-equipped Kenilworth practice. You will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice and providing support to our Patient Care Assistants and Students Nurses.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a busy team and possess the confidence to work alone when required; you will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and be happy to get stuck in wherever needed. You will see a wider range of cases whilst working alongside experienced colleagues and certificate holders. This is a great opportunity to see how different teams work within the region whilst doubling your exposure and gaining valuable experience!

Salary and Benefits

Competitive salary depending on experience

£300 CPD allowance, 2-days CPD leave per annum and in-house CPD available

The Branch

Medivet Kenilworth is a refurbished practice and is equipped with the latest facilities including ophthalmology equipment, tonometry, dental facilities, acupuncture and much more!

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and caring team which consists of our Branch Partner who holds a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology, Senior Veterinary Surgeon who holds a General Practitioner Certificate in Ophthalmology, a Student Veterinary Nurse, Patient Care Assistant and two Client Care Assistants.

The practice is situated in the heart of Kenilworth, with the town centre offering a variety of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. The M6 and M40 are both a short drive from the practice.

Medivet Leamington Spa is a modern 24-hour Veterinary Hospital that offers a safe and secure working environment in the heart of the beautiful town of Royal Leamington Spa in Warwickshire close to Stratford-upon-Avon and its theatres. Leamington Spa has excellent road links close to the M1, M40, M6 and Birmingham Airport is just a 30 minute drive.

Our busy multidisciplinary Hospital is fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, flexible and rigid endoscopy, multiparameter monitor and orthopaedic equipment. Other facilities include 3 consult rooms, 1 dental room, a theatre, imaging room and separate cat and dog kennel areas as well as isolation kennels and recovery kennels in a large prep room with 2 additional work stations.
