The Role

We are seeking a motivated and friendly individual with a strong passion for animal care and welfare to join us as a Mobile Registered Veterinary Nurse.

This role plays a crucial part within our teams. You will support our Hertfordshire based practices in our Watford region including branches; Wexham, Denham, Croxley Green, Stanmore, 24 Hour Watford, Carpenders Park, Pinner, Ickenham, Langley, North-Harrow and Bushey Heath.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a busy team and possess the confidence to work alone when required. You should have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and should be happy to get stuck in wherever needed.

The successful RVN will become a Clinical Coach for our Student Veterinary Nurses and Patient Care Assistants. Therefore, ideal candidates will have some experience of clinical coaching and/or providing mentorship.

Salary and hours:

This role covers 40 hours a week with a fair share of weekends included in the shift pattern.

Salary is £25,000 per annum plus £300 CPD allowance plus 2-days CPD leave, 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, RCVS and BVNA membership.

Key Accountabilities

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

Skills and Experience

-You must be a registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
-A full drivers’ licence is essential

The Branch

This role will see you working in different environments, allowing you to gain varied exposure and learn from a diverse team of veterinary professionals. Here, you will create a large connection of colleagues, working together to deliver outstanding service and care for our clients and patients.

The rota will reflect the needs of the region, you may be required to support two practices during the same week, this will be communicated accordingly.
