The Role

We are seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Surrey Quays, Central London.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider Medivet network.

You will have exceptional communication skills, alongside an interest in managing a team and developing a clinic to its full potential.

The role is working 4 days per week plus 1 in 3 weekend rota.

Salary package up to £55,000 dependent on experience.

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years’ experience – a certificate holder would also be an advantage but not essential.

Previous management experience would be preferred, but not essential.

The Branch

Medivet Surrey Quays is equipped with one consult rooms, one theatre, x-ray, dentistry facilities and more. It feeds into our 24-hour centres for out-of-hour care and access to endoscopy and CT.

The successful candidate will be joining friendly and highly skilled team made up of one vet and two nurses.

Here, you will have steady and interesting caseload, working collaboratively with the team to continue the welcoming and dedicated approach to our client care.

Medivet Surrey Quays is situated with easy access to transport links across London. The practice is a short walk to the tube station (overground) and various buses across the city.
