The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional Clinical Director to join us with a Farm Animal bias to continue to expand the service we offer to our Farm clients! We provide the opportunity to further develop the dairy side of the practice and many other aspects of the business as we continue to grow and keep up to date with technology and life! The role can be tailored to suit the individual.

Our rota encourages a healthy life-work balance with time off after nights and weekends on call and the current rota is 2:8, so 1 in 4 nights and weekends with 2 vets on call for farm only.

About Us

Kernow Farm & Equine Vets are experienced and knowledgeable vets serving Bodmin, Lostwithiel, St Austell, Liskeard and Wadebridge. All our farm vets are dedicated to farm livestock and take a proactive and forward thinking approach to veterinary work and we are an RCVS Accredited Farm Animal Practice.

We are a mixed team here at Kernow Farm & Equine. Some of our vets carry out solely farm work, others purely equine with a range in between and are therefore able to offer flexibility on work, but can be 100% farm role. We have a fantastic team of 8 vets who are proactive and keen to progress. With the size of our team we are able to provide you with a great support network that encourages peers to share their knowledge, best practice advice and we also in-house clinical training sessions, allowing development opportunities.

We have 2 full time TB testers meaning minimal testing for clinical vets. Regular team meetings and appraisals. The usual equipment provided. Based in Mid-Cornwall giving easy access to all the county can offer making easy access to great beaches, moorland, woods, surfing, Eden etc.

Applicant Requirements

The candidate must be able to work within a team and individually. Good communication skills with vets, office staff and clients are essential. A positive, proactive and flexible attitude is desired. Sense of humour also beneficial!
