Alaska Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Kennel Technician.

We are a busy practice seeking an enthusiastic Kennel Technician to join our team.

This is a great position for someone trying to get their foot in the door and begin work in veterinary medicine.

The Kennel Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the clinic. This includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, doing laundry, emptying garbage, and cleaning exam rooms and surgical suite. There may also be some restraint and assisting the technicians with animal care.

Requirements:

– Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

– Ability to work independently with little to no supervision

– Enthusiastic

– Dependable

– Good sense of humor

– Have excellent communication skills

Janitorial or animal experience preferred but not required. If you enjoy people, are good with animals, are a team player and are willing to learn…we are willing to train you to do the job. There are also opportunites for advancement.

The schedule we are needing to fill is as follows: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm – 6:30pm.
