Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology is seeking Board Certified Internists to join practice in Annapolis, MD (Generous Relocation Bonus!)
Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology (AVIM&O) is seeking veterinarians certified in Internal Medicine, or veterinarians who have successfully completed the ACVIM general examination and are preparing credentials for the certifying examination. Our applicants need to be competent, caring, and compassionate professionals. Duties will include referral level appointments, case consultations, positive professional interactions, and diagnostic & therapeutic procedures related to all aspects of internal medicine.
About Our Hospital:
AVIM&O provides the internal medicine and oncology services for Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Centers in three locations . Onsite specialties include surgery, cardiology, dentistry, neurology, imaging, ophthalmology and emergency and overnight care services 24/7 for our patients. This job notice is for positions available in Annapolis, but opportunities in Towson and Columbia are also available. We offer a positive and supportive environment demonstrated by our interservice hallway conversations, morning rounds, and multiple interactions and learning moments each day. Joining the team at AVIM&O brings a collegial community of ten other internists and four oncologists, along with the multidisciplinary presences of many other specialties.
AVIM&O offers dedicated medical procedures areas. We have excellent equipment and services, including, Olympus videoendoscopes, multiple rigid scopes, advanced Phillips ultrasound, I-Stat point of care analyzer, three time a day reference lab pick up and same day cytology service, five way patient monitor systems, pulse-doppler blood pressure, CT imaging with high definition fluoroscopy (Towson and Columbia), digital radiography, benchtop in-hospital lab systems, and monitoring equipment. In Annapolis we have an imaging service providing 16 slice CT and 1.5 Tesla MRI. AVIM&O has stenting and laser interventional capabilities at our Columbia location. Additionally, we offer a new Sechrist veterinary HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) facility with a trained support team at our Annapolis location. Bring us an idea and we’ll discuss it!

We have a very competitive remuneration plan. Our work week is generally four clinical days per week (but we can be flexible), and every fourth week on call. We do not see new case appointments or take transfers on weekends.
