Job Summary:

NVA is seeking an Implementation Specialist with the responsibility of supporting Specialty+ER & Equine software conversions, in partnership with our preferred vendors. The position will support an end to end software on-boarding process for each of our sites, which will involve training veterinary professionals both remotely and on-site, across the states. Additionally, it will have an IT focus, so you will be liaison between the implementation team and NVA’s IT team. From remote training to on-site conversion; you will be a project manager, trainer and savvy problem solver! You will receive extensive software training on our preferred software. Furthermore, you will act as a product expert in appropriate use of the software and will identify organizational and industry best practices. This position requires leadership skills to ensure successful implementations for NVA. Since the travel schedule will vary each month, the position will require an estimated 50% of travel and 50% of remote work. The individual will work closely with our Software Implementation Specialists, other Software Implementer/Trainer(s), hospital staff, Division Leadership and the broader Technology Services Team to help support the diverse needs of all Specialty+ER & Equine hospitals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

On-Site Implementing & Training up to 50%
• Carries out project tasks, maintains project plans, and executes implementation best practices
• Facilitates and supports training on-site for each hospital’s go-live week
• Assists with change management by championing the software and serves as an SME
• Works with staff to understand the new product and service codes
• Evaluates practice needs and develops systems that support business processes
• Ensures that configurations are completed and works with NVA on action tasks
• Provides technical support to hospitals’ infrastructure and hardware needs, which includes: procuring hardware, executing IT tasks and coordinating third party resources as needed

Remote Implementing & Training up to 50%

  • Facilitates and leads training including configuration webinars and other online courses
  • Plans project tasks, maintains project plans, and establishes implementation best practices
  • Assists in developing SOPs to drive operational efficiency, especially as it pertains to installations and integrations
  • Ensures accountability in completion of self-paced training modules
  • Facilitates project planning meetings and enables communication of project status
  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves barriers for implementation projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Specialty or Equine veterinary hospital experience required
  • Experience in veterinary practice software required*
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to juggle multiple projects/tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various veterinary professionals
  • Proficient in written and verbal communications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Some understanding on how to use remote desktop*
  • General understanding of computer directories*
  • General understanding of how to use an SFTP program is preferred*
  • Familiarity with ticket management systems (especially ServiceNow) *
  • Familiarity with multiple veterinary software systems is a plus (Especially Cubex, EzyVet, Smart Flow, HVMS and Cornerstone)

*In-depth training will be provided
