Imaging Coordinator

Job Description

The Role

We are currently looking for an imaging coordinator to join our friendly team in Derby, Derbyshire. This is a full-time role working 43 hours a week including 1 in 6 full weekends with lieu days the following week and 1 or 2 Bank Holidays. This role will see you collaborating with team leaders and list managers in a variety of disciplines to include medicine, surgery, and neurology to ensure the imaging department runs smoothly. You will be specifically responsible for managing the imaging workflow and the quality of radiographs. Support and training of other team members will be an important part of the role to improve the quality of radiographs. Understanding and upholding the specific imaging health and safety regulations and Practice Standards is also a requirement.

Pride Veterinary Centre delivers multi-disciplinary, specialist-led care, facilitating close inter-departmental collaboration to provide the best possible outcome for all patients.
The Pride team strives to deliver world class patient care. The facilities include 13 consultation rooms, 8 hospital wards (including dedicated intensive care unit and isolation unit), 5 theatres, an endoscopy suite, and an extensive advanced imaging suite (comprising digital radiography, ultrasonography, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI) with interventional radiology capability. A radioactive iodine treatment unit, dedicated chemotherapy treatment room, lab, and a rehabilitation unit (with hydrotherapy pool and treadmills) are also part of the service.

Applicant Requirements

Our ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a strong interest in imaging and excellent organisational and communication skills. This is a key role in the smooth running of the hospital and an exciting opportunity to be involved in the ongoing improvement and development of the service.
