The Role
Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.
You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.
As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.
Skills and Experience
– RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
– RVN with 1yr + experience in a busy hospital or 2yrs experience in a head nurse role
– Clinical coaching experience or happy to complete relevant training
Salary and hours
This role offers a competitive salary plus £300 CPD allowance plus 2-days CPD leave, RCVS and BVNA membership. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
This role works to a 40 hour week with 1:6 full weekends.
You will also be included on our bank holiday rota, and on-call rota should the night team require additional support. This is fair share across all nurses in the region.
The Branch
Medivet Pinner is a busy and thriving practice led by Branch Partner, Reena.
It is a two Vet branch with a nursing team made up of the Head Nurse (that’s you!) with three Student Nurses and a PCA/CCA. They are a strong, tight-knit and welcoming team.
The practice is based in an affluent area and has undergone a recent refurb. The team see a varied caseload so this role would suit someone who has experience in a diverse role.
This role feeds into our 24-hr hospital in Watford for all out of hour care.
