The Role

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

Salary and hours

This role offers a competitive salary depending on experience plus £300 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house training available, RCVS and VDS fees paid, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and exclusive company discounts and rewards.

Hours are 40 per week. The shift pattern includes 1:6 full weekends at our Watford hospital with time back in lieu.

You will also be included on a bank holiday rota and on-call rota, should our night team require support, this is fair share across all nurses in the region.

The Branch

Medivet Langley is a partnered branch and sole vet practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the BP to drive the practice forward and manage a nursing team with two Patient Care Assistants.

The practice has been awarded a Silver Standard Cat-Friendly Clinic Award from the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM). It provides exceptional veterinary care to Langley and surrounding areas including dedicated cat clinics and puppy socialisation classes.

Medivet Langley feeds into our 24-hr hospital in Watford for all out of hour care.
