As a result of recent review, we have taken the opportunity to implement more clinical leadership within our hospital structures and are seeking outstanding veterinarians to step into our newly created Head Veterinarian positions. As a Head Veterinarian for one of our hospitals, you will build upon the success of the current team and drive the hospital forward, through;
Providing clinical leadership across the hospital, ensuring the provision of best practice patient care at all times.
Working with the Practice Manager to improve strategies to manage patient flow, length of stay and waiting times.
Leading clinical standards and continue to build the culture of collaboration and excellence.
Fostering and support the highest quality of teaching and mentoring of hospital staff.
Working closely with other Head Veterinarians across the group and nurture a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
Our Cockburn Hospital has a team of 3 vets (2 vets on weekdays and 1 on weekends and a team of 4 nurses. Our Veterinarians work 0830 to 1900 weekdays, and a rotating roster of 1 in 3 weekends, Saturdays and Sundays 0830 to 1700. Our hospital includes:

We are seeking an influential clinical leader with a track record of driving clinical leadership; alternatively, we will consider someone who wishes to step up to this role who has a proven track record working as a Veterinarian. You’ll possess natural leadership and supervisory abilities and a passion for sharing your knowledge and skills with your team. Ongoing training and development opportunities will be provided to enable you to succeed.
