The Role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team as Head Veterinary Nurse at our practice based in Burton-on-Trent. The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop the practice including nursing clinics and using your initiative to promote new ideas. As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice as a clinical coach. All of our Head Nurses are provided with dedicated support with other duties, such as recruitment and Health and Safety. While there are still administration duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing! This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week. This shift pattern includes shared weekend rota. Skills and Experience

You will be an experience Registered Veterinary Nurse ideally with previous experience of managing a team.

The Branch

Burton is a friendly practice who bond over their practice tea breaks. The team consists of 2 Vets, 2 RVN’s and 2 PCA’s. The practice is close to the A38 and 20 minutes from Derby city centre and less than 45 minutes away from Nottingham and Birmingham.
