Grenada SPCA – Volunteer Vets

Posted by Grenada SPCA
  • Lowthers Lane, St George's, G, GD

Job Description

The Grenada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) requires qualified veterinarians with a minimum of two years post qualification experience to assist at their clinic throughout the year. Dates are therefore flexible and volunteers are invited to submit their available dates for consideration.

Working hours will be approximately 8.30am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

The days at the GSPCA are varied and no one day is the same so a formal itinerary is not available but you may be asked to spay and neuter cats and dogs and also help with other treatments such as broken bones or animals that have been involved in RTA’s and more mundane day to day jobs such as vaccinations. The hospital facilities include a waiting room, treatment rooms, office, surgery and kennels to hold approximately 10 to 12 dogs and cats.

You will have time to visit the stunning beaches of this wonderful island and a trip to the nutmeg factory or a rum distillary are highly recommended.
