Job Responsibilities:

National Veterinary Associates is seeking to hire a Financial Analyst to support our growing Business Development team in Canada. This position is perfect for those with an accounting/finance background who are looking for a chance to greatly contribute to the company’s success. The role provides a blend of financial analytic responsibilities with exposure to business valuations and the acquisition process, budgeting and strategic analysis. This is a high profile position within the company and a successful analyst will have an integral role in the primary growth driver for the company.

The position’s primary function will be to review the financial statements and various other background information of NVA’s Canadian acquisition prospects to estimate profitability. This process includes reviewing the prospect’s financial statements, assessing accounting risks, identifying pro-forma adjustments, analyzing trends, calculating an internal rate of return and communicating the results of the analysis to NVA’s acquisition team.

Qualifications:

  • Strong accounting and analytic skills with experience supporting small entrepreneurial business
  • Budgeting and valuation experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Masters in Accountancy preferred

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • The ability to understand and communicate complex financial information
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, Business related discipline is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups
