Immediate Opening – Associate Exotics Veterinarian

Pender Exotics Veterinary Centre is conducting a nationwide search for a full-time Exotics Veterinarian to join our dedicated exotics team in Fairfax, VA. The qualified candidate will have a passion for exotics medicine and the ability to manage exotics medical cases to achieve the best outcome for both the patient and the client. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated clinical experience working with exotics as part of previous internships, residency, or private practice. An energetic team player with excellent communication skills is a must. Critical strengths include motivation, the ability to multi-task, and desire to practice high quality medicine.

The Associate Veterinarian will work alongside our experienced exotics team in a dedicated exotics department, and will always be stimulated to learn and expand emergency, medical, and surgical skills. Pender Veterinary Centre is a well-established, 24 hour small animal and exotics hospital. We are also the only private practice who accepts all Good Samaritan wildlife drop-offs for triage before transferring to rehabilitation. We are a 20,000 ft², full service, state of the art veterinary facility. Our hospital is always being modernized to advance our patient care, comfort, and diagnostics. In addition to a highly accomplished team of 27 veterinarians and a stimulating environment, Pender Veterinary Centre offers:

  • Rapid state-of-the-art, reference-grade in-house lab machines
  • Endoscopic equipment, rigid cystoscope with biopsy instruments and large screen TV.
  • Fully-stocked closed pharmacy
  • 24/7/365 support from our ER/Critical Care staff to manage hospitalized patients and emergencies.
