Provides excellent and expeditious client experience; greets clients, responds to questions; processes incoming and outgoing patients, and handles payments. Answers phone calls, which may involve answering questions, screening for service needs, and scheduling appointments. Handles incoming and outgoing mail and e-mail. Monitors client waiting area to ensure cleanliness. Documents and maintains client information, service data and other pertinent information within practice management software. Escalates complex matters to senior staff. Minimum of 1 year related experience required.

Greywolf Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our team! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment helping pets and their families, come check us out! Every day is different when you work at a veterinary hospital, so you’ll never be bored!

Responsibilities include answering multi-line phones, scheduling and checking in appointments, cash handling, communicating doctor’s instructions to clients, processing prescription requests, ensuring integrity of electronic medical records, and using email. Must be able to use computers and other office equipment efficiently and skillfully, as well as have above average verbal and written communication skills.

The position primarily involves working at the front desk, but you may assist the veterinarians with treatment of pets as needed. Being willing to cross-train as a veterinary assistant is a plus! We are a team, and everyone pitches in when needed, no job too small. Janitorial duties are shared by the entire staff.

Reception experience a plus, but we’re willing to train a motivated person with a pleasant demeanor and at least 5 years of customer service experience. Ability to remain calm and maintain a professional demeanor when working with clients under sometimes-stressful conditions is a must!

Our regular shifts are 7:45-5:00 M-F (1 hour lunch), with a half-day once per week. Once training is complete, you will also join the rotation for one 7:45-6:00 shift once per week, as well as the occasional Saturday (mandatory). We feel that work-life balance is of high importance, so we do our best to keep our staff on the same schedule every week so you always know what to expect!

Pet care discounts are offered for all employees beginning after 90 days. 2 sets of scrubs provided per year.

Job Type: Full time (35+ hours).

Salary: $13.69/hour, bonuses available. Paid time off, health benefits, sick pay, and 401(k) available for full-time employees.

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our staff and clients as safe as possible, we are currently operating with a closed lobby (no clients in the building). All staff wear masks while at work, and gloves when handling pets or working directly with a client outside.
