The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a busy multi-specialty and 24-hour emergency referral hospital located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated criticalist to join our growing team, one who will thrive in and contribute to our collaborative team-focused hospital! Ideal applicants should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be team players and, have the drive to provide “world-famous” patient care.

Our highly equipped hospital ( CT scan, digital radiology, echocardiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and laparoscopy ) is the largest AAHA hospital in Northern Indiana and the only Level II Certified Critical Care facility in the state. Our referral base covers a large region, including northeastern Indiana, northwestern Ohio, and southern Michigan. We are a progressive, team-oriented, family-friendly practice emphasizing high-quality medicine and compassionate patient care.

Our professional staff includes board-certified specialists in Surgery (2), Cardiology (1), Internal Medicine (1), Feline practice (1), and two doctors certified in Canine Rehabilitation. In addition to our specialty services, we have six experienced doctors whose practice is dedicated to emergency & critical care. Moreover, we partner with a locally boarded veterinary radiologist for telemedicine consultation. NIVES also prides itself on being a teaching hospital. Annually, we host 10-12 veterinary students from all over the world.

Our very talented staff of RVTs & assistants is committed to excellence and helping their doctors to run as efficiently as possible. Our emergency team and dedicated nursing staff are devoted to providing the highest quality, progressive care to pets in need. We have 1 VTS in ECC and another set to take her boards this year.
