National Veterinary Associates is seeking a Community Program Facilitator to support key community building initiatives. In this role, you will help us achieve our vision by designing and facilitating programs that support professional development, continuous learning and employee health and wellness throughout the organization.

NATURE OF WORK AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The Community Team combines several specialized services and provides organization-wide programs and services: Culture building tools, Leadership effectiveness, organizational development, communication, employee engagement strategies, diversity, and inclusion, change management and health and wellness. We provide planning and development support to all levels of staff to meet the changing needs of the organization and its clients.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Under the direction of Community Team Director, the Program Facilitator is responsible for supporting in the development and facilitation of the Community Team training programs to meet the needs of the NVA community.

This will include a variety of activities, including but not limited to:

  • In collaboration with other Community team members, develop and execute programs
  • Facilitate and delivers new/current programs to address emerging needs in the community
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, and/or events and makes changes required to maintain relevance and quality
  • Contributes ideas for new programs and/or projects based on expressed need in the community
  • Actively seeks partnerships, alliances, and collaborative relationships to enhance service delivery and develop community capacity
  • Cover off for other Community Services Staff as required
  • Virtual or on-site execution of programs, initiatives, curricula, and activities.
  • Partner with program planners to develop and complete required reports (program assessments, participant tracking, safety procedures, etc.) associated with each program
  • Deliver creative, engaging, and educational experiences for participants using organization program curricula as a guide and ensure that all participants are treated with respect and care

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent facilitation skills; strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Organizational Development, Change Management
  • Coaching/Consulting experience
  • Strong organization and administrative skills
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Team player, professional, friendly, and enthusiastic
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude who can anticipate needs in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment
  • Flexibly adapting to serve multiple and diverse audiences
  • Proven track record in designing and executing successful professional training programs
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (adult learning, mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Travel to visit multiple training locations (approximately 50% – 60%)
