We are looking for a Clinical Director to join our existing management team at Portland House Veterinary Group to help drive the practice into its next stage of development. This is a leadership role at the heart of the practice and involves a considerable amount of clinical work as well as the running of the practice and team. It is a busy but engaging role balancing the daily pressures of clinical practice and business and management duties. We are looking for a full-time mixed Veterinary Surgeon, to work a 5-day week with a 2 in 6 Out-of-Hours weekend rota and average of one weeknight per week.

The main practice branch is situated in Retford, rural Nottinghamshire with separate sites in Retford, Ollerton and Goole. Our team consists of a friendly group of 12 vets, 12 RVNs/SVNs and support staff across 4 sites.
Management experience is not essential as there is support from the Business Support Manager and a development programme available. An experienced mixed Veterinary Surgeon is essential for a good working knowledge of the challenges of mixed practice is and in your leadership and guidance role. A calm and friendly approach to situations is required as well as being open, approachable, and trustworthy. You need to have the confidence to deal with challenging situations, have good organisational skills and be able to problem solve on the hoof. The most valuable characteristic you can possess for this role is the ability to deal with people and clients on a one to one and small group basis.
As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
