Cardiology is a busy and demanding discipline, yet challenging, exciting, and rewarding. In this role you will work solely within the cardiology department, concentrating mainly in x-ray, echocardiography and electrocardiography. You will be required to assist with the procedures including but not limited to, preparing, and holding for the echo’s, positioning for radiography's, placing Holter monitors, taking ECG’s/bloods pressure and blood samples. You will participate in the organisation of the daily running of the cardiology workload, liaising with clinicians/receptionists and other disciplines and booking the appropriate time slots for these procedures. A high level of skills to enable the best care for our patients who are often in need of intensive care in our ICU department. As a cardiology nurse you will play a diverse role from admitting and discharging of patients, organising appointments and procedures, maintaining a record of cases, charging of all procedures and hospital care, maintaining the maintenance of equipment and the managing of stock levels.

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with excellent organisation and communication skills who respond well to pressure and can work in a calm manner. For this role, you will need to be able to work well within a team as well as individually and be eager to learn new skills, whilst developing existing ones. It would be beneficial to have experience working in a busy hospital environment alongside a basic knowledge of cardiology.
